I first must say that this wasn’t the first time I had heard of Herbalife(HL) .Being told by most in the past that HLwas just for weightloss i was sleptical to try yet again what I thought would be a diet. I’ve quickly learned that Herbalife is much more than just for weightloss! Herbalife is a lifestyle for nutrition and wellness.
During my visit to California back in June my parents introduced the shakes and vitamins to the kids and I.
The Journey however didn’t start there. My parents had already been telling me over the phone how amazing they felt and how they couldn’t wait for me to try. I wasn’t taking much interest to what they had to say.
Then I went to Hispanicize and realized there was an HL Rep. present and I wanted to meet him. I told my amiga Jennifer from Mami2Mommy to please let him know i’d love to meet him since she had already chatted with him.We met, he was amazing and so energetic and I promised to visit headquarters soon!
Fast forward to August, I was now invited to tour many of the HL facilities and boy was I amazed. Now I’m not just saying this because we now consume the product. I seriously learned so much about this company and I was privileged to meet some awesome key players in the company. I had my parents very jealous but so proud to see me learn to love HL.
At HL Global Headquarters LA LIVE:
We not only toured one of places many of distributors and consumers dream of visiting but we met with the amazing nutritionist, Susan Bowerman and learned so much about the grams of fat in a lot of the fast foods we consume. We also learned how to make healthier choices when we are outside. Susan is also the nutritionist that helped create many of the yummy shake recipes as well as the food choices served at the Torrance facility Mark Hughes Cafe (more on that below)
In the picture above you see in the center a good majority of the kids products. Little Man and Little Lady not only consume the shakes but we do vitamins as well.
Here we are posing with Spain soccer team 🙂 ok ok it’s only a wall image at the end of the Sponsorship hall. HL makes an effort to educate any athletic team they wish to sponsor Most if not all of their sponsorship is solely based on providing their players with the product.
HL also makes an effort to have product available for their employees in every facility they encourage health and wellness and with that have a gym available free of charge to their employees as well.
At the Torrance Herbalife facility we met Dr. Ezar Bejar who so happens to be “Jew-xican” How cool is that! He is Vice president of Scientific Affairs at Herbalife. He toured us around the science center which included the labs where every ingredient is tested.
Did you know?
HL grows their own ingredients. They also take a “fingerprint” of each ingredient so they can track what ingredient goes into what batch of product. This helps ensure product safety! HL keeps a sample of every ingredient and every final product. The big silver refrigerators help keep product at temperature to where the product is being sent.
Above you can see a picture of yummy food from Mark Hughes Cafe. This was indeed a healthier recipe of Birria. It was just delicious! The employees and visitors to the Torrance facility get to enjoy different healthy options everyday!
At Herbalife Innovation and Manufacturing(HIM:
This manufacturing building in Lake Forest is an actual museum/manufacturer. It was amazing. We saw how the Formula 1 shake is blended as well as how tablets are compressed and packaged.
We learned that HL ensures even more safety of their products by including a tracker(which is that LogTag) that sends information every hour back to the HIM facility. This way they can prevent from product ever reaching you if it is damaged during shipment.
UCLA Center for Human Nutrition- Mark Hughes Labs
Here we met with Dr.Luigi Gratton. He was absolutely amazing to talk to! He is one of the Doctors that meets with athletes to ensure they are taking product like they should and helps with other testings at the UCLA labs.
We did a couple other activities like learn about the skin care line and visit a nutrition club ran by a distributor. We finished off our visit with an awesome JLO & Enrique Iglesias concert at Staples center in the Herbalife Suite.
I am honestly amazed at the product creation process as well as the safety factors that go into ensuring i get the best quality product how it is intended to be consumed. I am so excited to share more on the Kids Line with you.
If it wasn’t for my parents trying to lead a better lifestyle I would have totally missed out on a great product!
Big Thanks to Herbalife and Marco for an amazing experience!
Disclosure: This is not a compensated post. I was however invited to tour the facilities of Herbalife with an all expense paid trip. The above as always are my true and honest opinions.
