My mother inspires me #InspireCare

When I think back at the way I was raised and the people that help raise my brothers and I, it really was a village. Both my parents worked and as I got older they worked longer hours with 2 or 3 jobs.

However, for the first 6 years of my life, I was an only child. I had my mother’s full attention and she spent the most time with me until I started school. I loved every minute I got to be with her from going on bus rides to working on workbooks with her.
As I got older times changed, things got a little harder, and soon I would only see my parents in the evenings. I didn’t understand then what I do now.
My parents did an amazing job at providing for us. They made sure we had a safe environment, people around that loved us and the essentials of everyday life if not more.
I know had my parents had it their way, my mom would have continued to stay home to be with each and every one of my brothers, the same  way she did with me.
My mother always made sure she had time with us when she didn’t have to go to work or school. I know now how important that was for me.
Being a parent is hard work, something I could never give credit to my mom until I had my own kids.
My mother has inspired me to be the best mom I can be to my kids. I am involved, I show them love and I care for them much like what my mother did for me in the early years when she could stay home and be with me.
I am grateful for the sacrifices my parents made to provide for us. I am blessed to have had the love and care from my mother that helped create nurturing memories that inspire me everyday I spend time with my own children.
