We are still on GUBcation and had the opportunity to attend a Lay’s Cinco de Mayo fiesta with dips inspired by the new Stax Que Rico Flavors!
We had a variety of adobada inspired dips as well as chile con limon, flamas and limon!
Everything was so delicious and I got to hang out with lots of my Amigas and Amigos!
I brought a dish my dad and I created- Chicharron-Coated Chicken bites with a Adobada flavored dip! Delicious! recipe
Ingredients
For the chicken -chicharron -chicken breast strips cut thin
-all purpose flour
-eggs
-salt and pepper
-oil to fry
For the dip
-1/2 cup and 2 tbs of sour cream
-3 tbs hickory smoked BBQ
-1 tsp mexican chili powder
-1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp lemon pepper 1/4 black pepper
Directions
1- prepare ingredient line up in one bowl beat 2 eggs add salt and pepper for taste to your liking. Add all purposes flour about a cup at a time and equal amount of crushed to powder chicharrones mix together. Oil in pan and heat.
2-Dip chicken strips into egg then flour chicharron mix, and to fry!
3-repeat til all chicken is done
4-prepare dip combine all ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate until ready for use.
Our dip won! I think the chicharron chicken had a lot to do with it but was a great combination! The dip is one of my new favorites!
