I’ve always made it a point to share with our kids what daddy’s job use to be before we moved to New Jersey. They were tiny babies and don’t remember the man in uniform when we lived in San Diego, CA. I am proud to be the wife of a Veteran.
As Veteran‘s day approaches. I encourage my children to learn more about daddy’s military past every year. They see the pictures around our home of daddy in uniform. They see his blues, his whites and even camo uniform. His Uniforms hang still in a closet and his boots directly under. This was an important time in his life. I ask the hubs to share the places he’s visited while deployed and the commitment he had in serving our country whether on shore or out to sea. We honor the time he gave to be in the U.S. Navy.
I recently became a Walmart Mom and I am excited to share the commitment Walmart has for our Veterans.
This year join in and Salute a Hero with Walmart. Walmart is committed to hiring 100,000 Veterans over the next 5 years. This is such a great way of Walmart helping our military families. The transitions from military to civilian life can be overwhelming. I am thankful that Walmart has given our Veterans an option of employment.
They also want to salute our heroes by recognizing our Veterans through Walmart’s Wall of Honor.
I uploaded a picture of my husband in uniform to honor his commitment and salute him on the Wall of Honor.
You can too! It’s easy to share on the wall and share with friends, after you’ve uploaded a photo and message, via Twitter and Facebook.
