Nothing makes me prouder to be working for Walmart as Walmart Mom than hearing their commitment to invest in American Jobs.
When the hubs and I moved our family cross-country and our back up plan fell thru, we hit a rough patch. It was scary and as we saw everyone losing jobs, we lost hope in being hired. As a parent of 2 small kids this can be a very dark and scary moment. I’d like to think we are some of the blessed ones that were able to find jobs and not fortunate to look back on that time and say we’ve overcome.
After visiting Walmart’s Youtube channel to view some of their latest “Made By” videos I felt that same sigh of relief and hope for our people. The feeling of knowing things will be ok. That same feeling when the hubs and I both were hired and able to support our families.
Here is how Walmart will be committed:
“Walmart is investing $250 billion in products that will support American jobs over the next 10 years. We plan on doing this by increasing what we already buy and by helping to onshore U.S. production in areas such as textiles, household goods, and toys.”
“At Walmart we believe in supporting the American dream by helping to create more jobs in America. We know that by creating and keeping jobs in America, we are helping to rebuild local and national economies. You can learn more about how we are bringing jobs back to America at http://www.walmart.com/cp/1104053.”
“At Walmart, we have the best products at Everyday Low Prices, but we know there are some great, undiscovered products that have not yet reached our shelves. If you have a product that you think would be a perfect in our stores you can find out more about becoming a supplier at: http://bit.ly/10pNyul.”
I am happy to hear that Walmart continues to help our veterans and their families.
“Walmart launched the Veterans Welcome Home Commitment to offer a job to any honorably discharged veteran within his or her first 12 months off active duty, and projects to hire more than 100,000 veterans over the next five years.”
