We hope you had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend! Our family went berry picking as we have made a tradition and luckily this year we were able to go on this long weekend. The weather was perfect and the kids were so excited to go berry picking!
Our go to farm has been Johnson’s Farm for a few years now. The farm is well kept and the staff are very welcoming!
I love taking photos of the kids in the fields. This year since we went a little early the red berries weren’t popping thru the leaves as much as years past.
The kids really enjoying seeing the strawberries on the vine and getting to choose which ones they pick.
Little Man was able to wander a little and he kept coming back with berries to put in our baskets.
Hubs had to keep telling Little Lady only to pick the red ones not the white ones.
We picked enough berries to last us a few days but really we went for the experience. It’s become tradition to go to the fields and every year I remind the kids about my grandpa and his brothers. I share once again how our family worked the fields. It may seem like fun for us but one day they will understand the sacrifice and hard work it is to work the fields.
Speaking of sacrifice the flags that alined the farm fence were a great reminder as to why we were able to have a great long weekend. As a former military family we know all to well how our freedom is indeed not free. We remember the sacrifice the fallen, active duty men and women and our veterans have made by serving and protecting our country! Thank you Gracias
Be sure to watch our day at the farm in our most recent Vlog!
