Fight Hunger Spark Change with Walmart

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post as a participant in the Walmart Moms Program.

When the holidays approach my kids begin to hear all about gifts and things people think they need and want. As they get older I try to teach them that the holidays is more that just receiving and wanting gifts but really helping and giving to those in need. When I learned Walmart was once again sparking change, I knew this would be a great opportunity to share about fighting hunger with my kids and our GUB readers too!

Now until Oct 5th we have the chance to vote for our local food banks to receive a pretty amazing grant!

Did you know:

Walmart will be giving away $3.7 million in grants to participating Feeding America food banks and local partner agencies that provide hunger relief to millions of people in need of food assistance.
That means your local food bank has the chance to win because the 50 winning food banks will each receive a $60,000 grant.
Doing your part is easy:

Enter your state and vote for your food bank of choice!
Continue to vote every day until Oct 5th

Local GUB readers can vote for Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania located in Allentown, PA

Also Walmart has set up their site to make it easy to give more! Learn about ways to volunteer and donate!
How will you join the fight to end hunger?
