We celebrated the official first week of Summer vacay! Yup! School is out and we have so much fun planned. This week we had pool days, crafting days and even breakfast for dinner day! That’s right, Kids Eat Free Tuesdays at Denny’s Diners means breakfast for dinner! And ya’ll know the kids wouldn’t have it any other way!
Before I jump on to what we ordered Can we talk about the Kids Menu? How cute are Shrek and Fiona! My kids are 6 and 7 years old and they love getting a kids menu, making their own selections and having activities to do while we wait for the deliciousness.
I love knowing that the options they pick like pick three for The Build Your Own Jr. Grand Slam displays healthy choice options for a more balanced meal. Options like scrambled egg whites, turkey bacon, hashbrowns and orange juice.
I recently learned what the Kids Live Well logo meant. Dennys is a participant in the Kids Live Well program which was created by the National Restaurant Association. Many items on the Denny’s kids menu encourage healthy choices and have been verified as meeting the programs nutritional guidelines. All this in the name of promoting the importance of healthy food choices.
Little Man loves breakfast but he’s always changing it up. Sometimes he’s in the mood for pancakes but this time he really wanted fruit topped french toast. YUM!
And it isn’t a complete Denny’s outing if we don’t order our favorite appetizer, Bacon Cheddar Tots. My poor toothless girl struggled. But hey, that’s what family dinners are all about right, Family Moments. This one is one I had to capture for the scrapbook. I can hear us talk about it in the future. “Remember when Little Lady lost her front teeth and she couldn’t even eat a tater tot.”
Kids Eat Free Tuesdays at Denny’s Diners
I said breakfast for dinner and my kiddos don’t play! Little Lady had the Build Your Own JR. Grand Slam.
Little Man loved his french toast topped with Bananas. The kids ate free because the hubs and I ordered our favorite entries so it was a win-win for everyone! Dinner was served, bellies were full and we celebrated the end of the school year and the beginning of summer vacay!
How will you be celebrating “School is Out” this summer?
Be sure to head on over to your local Denny’s Diner next Tuesday to enjoy Kids Eat Free!
