Being that it’s Nurses Week, I’ve decided to get a little head start on thanking and celebrating the nurses that will be on my birthing team this year. When I first gave birth, I didn’t know just how special and important those nurses would be to my success at becoming a new parent and getting back to 100%. I’ve shared just how life changing nurses are to me and how I’m happy to celebrate them and bring awareness all nurses do.
Mini Love in a Jar
This time around, I’m creating little jars of love to show our gratitude for all they do because I need them to know how much they mean to our family. I was inspired by my amiga Jillian of Hello Splendid who makes amazing gifts in a jar! These little jars are just a small token of appreciation and just a little something to let my nurses know that even the smallest of tasks are appreciated.
Make Mini Love in a Jar
I know most nurses work long shifts and are usually with us most of our labor. With that in mind, I wanted to include treats and goodies they could use or enjoy during a quick break. Here are just a few of the ideas and things I’ve included in my love jars.
-Chocolate
-Lip balm
-Gum
-Hand sanitizer
-Mints
and I will also be adding a Starbucks gift card.
Think of what small items you can add to your jars and keep in mind the surrounding locations to the hospital. We have a Starbucks on the way as well as some other quick service food stops by the hospital. These are perfect places to grab a gift card that they can have on hand.
I’m making a set of 6 and finishing them off with a Thank You tag and tissue paper flower.
These mini love in a jar are a great Nurse Thank You Gift. They are easy to make and give you the opportunity to show gratitude to those who will be by your side during a special life moment.
