Disclosure: We were loaned a Mazda6 for review purposes only.
It’s been 7 years since we’ve moved to the east coast. Every year our family travels back home to spend time with Grandma and Papuchoni but this year things changed. We were expecting GUBbaby and my parents knew there was no way we’d be able to travel back home so they did the next best thing, they booked their tickets to visit us! Yes, it was finally going to happen! Grandma and Papuchoni visit the East Coast!!! Lucky for us we had a Mazda 6 to travel around town in as we adjusted to being a family of 5.
Preparing for the grandparents
Being a family of 5 has taken some big adjustments especially in the travel department. From going to a full backseat to a full trunk of baby items, I was happy we were loaned a beautiful 2017 Mazda 6 to take around town as we prepared for my parents to visit!
Talk about smooth riding while running around with 3 kids one being only 3 days old! Our backseat is officially all taken! The kids loved how spacious it was even with the car seat. Marcus is over 6 feet tall and usually, this causes us to need the car-seat behind me but as you can see we all had plenty of room. The Mazda 6 came thru with flying colors!
The trunk space was crazy huge! We fit all our groceries, home goods, and a stroller in there! I wasn’t allowed to lift a finger (blame it on postpartum rules) so I watched as the hubs just loaded the trunk without having to play Tetris like in our little cars.
The grandparents arrive and take on the Tri-state
Of course, GUBbaby had a huge part in why they were coming to visit but really I was excited to see my parents as tourists and tourist they were!
In the week they were here they not only enjoyed our family and kids but they took Bailey and Cecilia with them to sightsee in Philly, New York City, and Washington D.C.! Ya they did it all! Since I couldn’t go out to tour with them they sent us pictures during their time out! My kids still can’t stop talking about how much fun they had with Grandma and Papuchoni!
The best part was just having time to sit and have family dinner. We still miss my parents very much so having them here for a week was so needed especially after welcoming a new member of our family. We laughed, cried, and made the most of our time together.
Even my in-laws came over for a visit! This is the second time since Marcus and I have been married that we’ve had both of our parents together! Of course, we had to snap a picture!
I’m glad we had the Mazda 6 to take our parents around while in town. From the rides to the train station to meet my parents for dinner we loved having the Mazda 6 to ride along in. We spent a great week being comfortable even adjusting to having 3 little ones in the back seat.
The highlights in the 2017 Mazda 6 for us were the space, adaptive cruise control, and auto light sensors!
