Spending baby feedings with my boy making messes and memories. Thanks to Dreft Laundry Stain Remover for Sponsoring this post.
I used to be the mom that only fed the baby at home and unclothed her baby before feedings. Why? STAINS! I ruined so many cute outfits with my first two kids, I gave up on them wearing anything including a cute bib. 8 years later, I’ve learned a few things when it comes to baby feeding, laundry, and stain removing. My biggest tip: Use stain removers like my favorite, Dreft Laundry Stain Remover!
I must admit, my first time using Dreft Laundry Stain Remover wasn’t on baby clothes, it was actually for a stain on my dress. I was shopping at Walmart and saw the bottle stated “Specially Formulated for Tough Stains” “Baby food, milk, diaper accidents, spit-up stains” Yes, that’s what I needed! Something that could tackle the food I had dropped on my dress. Guess what? It worked! I’ve been hooked since.
Now that Damian has begun eating solids I even let him hold a spoon and sometimes it still has food still on it. Ya, brave moves all day with this little one. I’m not afraid to have him wearing a cute bib or clothes. I even use another bib to help clean off his face. I’m telling you, I’m so brave now!
When it comes to his feedings, I try to keep him on routine. This is how The Feeding Damian Show goes down:
I set him up to eat and we enjoy our time. I do all the cheesy train, plane, and car sounds and he loves them except when I go too slow. I let him get messy now, no worries here!
Soon after he’s done eating, I take his clothes and spray it with Dreft Laundry Stain Remover. Then I let it sit for at least 5 minutes.
I go on to do other things, and when he’s down for a nap, I put in a load of laundry. By this time, the product has tackled the stains and I just toss them into my load of laundry.
I love baby laundry! I remove from the washer and I take a sniff before checking if all the stains are gone. No stains here! Into the dryer they go and off to enjoy my baby I go. I’m one happy mama when it comes to baby laundry.
Here is the thing, pre-treating stains with Dreft Laundry Stain Remover for at least 5 minutes is so important. I feel it’s what lifts the stains best and allows the product to work its magic. Remember the first step to awesome laundry is to pre-treat! Second, if you feel you didn’t soak long enough, before tossing the item into the dryer, pre-treat the stains again with Dreft Laundry Stain Remover. It works for me!
My third and final tip, enjoy these feeding moments. I still remember the first time I gave my kids carrots. With Bailey, I was excited. He is my first born so everything was a first. First time eating carrots he loved them, but we also got some crazy stains. With Cecilia, I was worried because of the stains, and she hated the carrots, so I guess it wasn’t meant to be. With Damian, well, he eats anything! I just enjoy hearing his slurps as the carrots fall from his chin. They’re currently his favorites.
I’ll continue to make messes and memories while relying on my Dreft Laundry Stain Remover for my baby laundry! Remember, it is also great for stains on infant and children’s clothing, bedding and blankets! It’s effective in all temperatures and safe for all colorfast fabrics.
