Grandma and Papuchoni (My parents) sent me home with lots of books and educational games during my last visit.
My parents are very pro education. My mom started me out on flash cards and workbooks even before kinder. It really made a difference growing up having that one on one time with her as well as learning on the way. She has always been the one to buy something educational for the kids too. From books, to flashcards to DVDs and now even games.
So here is one of the games she got little man and little lady.
Little man already knows his numbers fairly well in English up to 10. He surprised me the last time he counted to 10 in Spanish. It was really easy for him to associate the numbers with the dots or as he likes to call them Circles. This is really going to help him recognize the numbers and maybe even prepare him to start matching up on pre-K worksheet books. Definitely a fun game
Little lady had more fun with the alphabet portion of the game I set out letters A-F. I didn’t want to overwhelm the kids with all 26 letters. It was fun to see how they distinguished the sounds of the words as I said them with the object of the matching piece. Little lady loved the letter C which is no surprise since it was paired up with a cupcake.
I found it great that the paired pieces were easy to find also because of matching colors.
This also helped the kids with had coordination. They found it a little mind-boggling to see why some pieces were easier to assemble than others. They soon caught on that those that fit made a pair those that didn’t meant try again.
This perhaps makes them ready for a simple puzzle.
I think it’s safe to say this is one of their new favorite activities
Thanks Grandma and Papuchoni!!!
Disclosure CMP.LY/0 : no compensation was given for this post I was given the game by my mother and happen to really love it for my kids. Just wanted to share.
