Halloween is almost here! We love to decorate with easy DIY halloween decor and door covers are by far the easiest and coolest way to greet trick or treaters! With just a few supplies you can get in the Halloween spirit and let the neighborhood kids you’ll be celebrating!
We went with a pumpkin theme. Our door looks awesome in orange and it’s bound to catch the kids eyes on Halloween night!
Make this DIY halloween cover in less than 10 minutes with the family!
What you’ll need:
-Orange Rectangle Table Cover
-Black Poster board
-Wiggly eyes
-White crayon
-Adhesive we recommend Elmer’s Rubber Cement
– Scissors
-Masking tape to secure table cover to door
Shop for all your supplies at your local Walmart! Find the table cover in the part supplies department in various colors make a scary vampire with a black cover or even frankenstein with green covers! Find the poster board and wiggly eyes in the crafts department!
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Cut poster board in half- Use one half for the Pumpkin’s mouth save the other half for later.
Step 2: Draw a mouth on the poster board and cut it out.
Step 3: Cut the other half of the poster board in 3 parts. 2 for eyes 1 for later
Step 4: Cut 2 triangle eyes one per square. Try cutting half circles to add personality to your pumpkin.
Step 5: Cut last square in to a few strips to make simple looking bats. You will then cut them in a mouth shape.
Step 6: Secure 2 wiggly eyes on to each mouth shape to make a bat.
Step 7: Glue the eyes and mouth with rubber cement. Apply a thin coat and hold in place for a few seconds.
Step 8: Glue the bats! All done!
