Our family recently attended sneak peek day at the USA Science and Engineering Festival (USASEF) in Washington D.C. As a Walmart Mom Blogger I get to be a part of some pretty cool things Walmart is a part of. This year the USASEF happened to be one of the events Walmart helped sponsor. Our family was invited to attend and check out so many great booths that got our family excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)!
The USASEF is a festival geared towards advancing STEM education and inspiring our youth! This year the USASEF and features the mikeroweWORKS Skilled Trades Pavillion presented by Walmart!
From playing with 3D printed blocks to building Walmart’s Wave concept truck to becoming a neuron and even playing with cool UV light beads! The Festival had something for everyone!
At the Walmart booth the family had fun playing Freight Tetris. The kids found it to be pretty fun ok ok so did the adults! It was such a simple fun game!
Everyone took home a mini cardstock buildable Walmart Wave truck! We hope one day these get turned into actual toy trucks! We’d definitely buy one!
As you know from my previous posts Walmart’s commitment investing with American Jobs and partnering up with Mike Rowe this was such a great event to discuss skilled labor, technology and sustainability!
One of the best moments from the USASEF was being able to see and get on the Walmart Wave. This concept truck had us all excited. The hubs use to truck and he knows just how great it would be to have these trucks on the road.
Our family loved the cabin so much Just look at how comfy we all fit… maybe the hubs will hit the road again and we can all come if one day these trucks are on the road!
The technology is amazing from touch screen dash and controllers to camera rearview mirrors to sitting in the middle as the driver! The cabin has some pretty cool details! The best part is knowing that the Concept truck is made of Carbon Fibers that weigh 4,000 lbs less than the average trailers allowing more product to be loaded! And its a HYBRID Truck!
Can you see me driving the Walmart Wave?
See our Day at USASEF
