I’ve had it! I am determined to teach my kids Spanish. I am committed to them and it is a MUST they learn Spanish. I don’t know how many times I’ve written about ideas to get the Spanish going but I fail ugh! BIG FAIL in my part.
So today I have decided to contract myself to teach my children some Spanish.
I, Ruby, am committed to one activity per day with my children to learn Spanish. It can be reading, writing, coloring, painting, or watching a show. I am also committed to taking them out to explore our Hispanic heritage at least once a month. This I pledge to my children Little man and Little lady!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh OK here we go day one!
Today we sang a greeting song from Sing a Lingo called HOLA AMIGO
I was a little nervous but we did it.
I even recorded part but I won’t show you that lol
so here is a PICTURE of the video us singing trust me you should be happy i didn’t post the video we aren’t amerian idol material lol
basically the song says
Hola amigos ya salio el sol
vamos a cantar y hablar en espanol
como estas ?
como estas?
como estas?
muy bien gracias!
It’s super catchy Little man was loving it. I loved that it was all in Spanish and they had gestures for certain words.
We also read Borlitas board book ~Numbers. Little man got these for Easter they are so cute and little lady loves the colorful characters.
I learned that little man does understand some Spanish.
I gave him something to throw away and I said basura and he went straight to the trash. It was really exciting.
I also want to do a word of the week. I didn’t add this to the pledge because I don’t know how this will work out but it is worth a try so the word of the week is Azul= blue
I had them wear Azul and had little man repeat .. he tired tho!
So wish us luck I hope this one sticks around I really really really need them to learn spanish.
Here are a couple of sites I’ve learned to love
