We are a few weeks away from Easter Sunday and I’m so excited to be putting together a Easter Basket each of the kids. Last year I took a $25 dollar Easter Basket challenge to make each of the kiddos a basket with things they’d enjoy. This year I’m taking the $10 challenge to build a basket for the kids. This easter basket is a non candy easter basket specifically for my little lady but I wanted to give you an idea of just how easy it is to put together a basket with only $10!
I picked up all my Easter Basket goodies at Walmart. Have you seen their seasonal selection of Easter goods? They’re making my build a basket $10 challenge so easy. With an area full of baskets, eggs, easter basket goodies and so much more!
I put my Easter Basket together with these 6 things in mind!
Pick a basket:
From baskets ranging $0.88 to $10 you can get as fancy as you want I went with a wooden basket that cost less than $1 because little lady will probably just use it to store some toys in her room. Plus I wanted to spend the bulk of my money on something she can spend some time playing with.
pick some grass:
No Easter Basket is complete without grass. Walmart has a variety of paper and plastic basket grass in various colors. I loved the mint green grass($0.98) it gave my Easter basket for little lady a trendy look. Mint is so in!
pick activities:
I loved that Walmart offered puzzles, water coloring and other activities for kids in Easter Themes. My kids love doing easy activities like that and I knew little lady especially would love the puzzle and water coloring pages! Most activities were $0.98
pick a plushie:
My girl loves bunnies and plushies so this bunny plushie was a must for her basket. There were also a variety of bunnies and ducky plushies available in various colors.
pick something they love:
I also picked up something she would love. Nail art and press-on nails are hot right now and Walmart had licensed character goodies. I picked up some frozen press on nails and Easter Nail art perfect for little hands. There were other toys and goodies in characters like Minions, Marvel, Minnie, Doc McStuffins and more! I loved the variety and prices ranged from $0.98 to $5.00
pick a Gold egg:
Lastly, because it’s a tradition my grandmother made for me as a kid is a golden egg with some money. Walmart has these large plastic golden eggs for only $0.50. I love adding something the kids can expect and get excited about ever Easter.
I came in under a few cents so I totally rocked this build a basket $10 challenge. I loved that I was able to add a little bit of everthing my kids enjoy as well as keeping in tradition. While I didn’t add candy to their baskets, Walmart offers a great selection of Easter Candy. I decided to use up all the candy sweets for our Easter Candy Bunny Cake When you see it, you will know why sometimes it’s ok to leave out the candy from the basket.
What are you adding to your kids Easter Basket?
