My kiddos are very blessed this year. We weren’t going to really buy them much we had decided on a toy or two each but our family was blessed x2 today.
First we get an email from YMCA super parent program for military families (we were on the waitlist but got in after all). I’ve been a military wife for nearly 3 yrs now and never really had the time or the need to take advantage of all these wonderful military support programs. It wasn’t until this year, since we’ve lost one income, that I truly understood why these programs exist and how great they are.
The kids got great stuff!!!!
Little lady is getting her first doll and she’s an ethnic cabbage patch. I hope she treasures it as I treasured mine. Ok, honestly I still have mine, it’s raggedy but it’s mine!
Little man is gettin fisher price little people & tractor set. Both my husband and I were raised with Little people and we hope little man enjoys them like we did.
and as if that weren’t enough from YMCA (gosh I love them) they got some cute stocking stuffers too!
Then, I still wanted to get them a toy from us, since technically Santa was taken care of, so we headed over to Toys R Us. They had been announcing big sells and although we didn’t have much in mind we were able to find great deals. It’s almost as if Toys R Us lowered their prices just for us!!! We were able to get little lady some cute playskool deals almost a whole collection for a whopping 37 bucks! Not bad, right? I’m talking little house with baby crib for her new cabbage and play food. I know what you’re thinking she can’t possibly play with all this now but by the time its Christmas again she will be able too. Little man got some cars some marvel squad people (the husband has been collecting those for him since before he was born) and a play tent. Lately hes been making his own out of the couch pillows so I figured this would be perfect!
It’s pretty amazing how this is the first year money is tight, yet it was was the least stressed holiday shopping i’ve ever done and by far the cheapest.
Now who’s gonna help me wrap? Probably no one since my biggest pet peeve is a horribly wrapped gift or an unwrapped gift for that matter. My husband thinks it’s crazy when I wrap a gift only for it to be ripped apart in less time then it took me to wrap it. I love wrapping tho and I can’t wait for my kids to rip apart these open!
BTW Fabulous k creative has a great giveaway!!!! If you haven’t checked it out you might want to!!!! GIVEAWAY
