Since before I can remember my mom would always buy me work books to do on my free time. I was an only child for a good 6 years and so she had the time to sit and work with me on a regular basis. Work books were very fun time in my childhood. It was never a chore always fun.
My husband had much of the same growing up. He did workbooks even on summer vacation.
I’ve decided to work with the kids since a very young age on different type of activities. Little man and I were doing different crafts on a daily basis it seemed like when we were in California. I blogged about a couple of things we did under Art’s and Crafts.
Now that I am no longer a working mommy and back to SAHM I’ve decided to start up a daily routine with the kiddos. They are both at an age were they can understand shapes, numbers, letters.
This is what we did today
Little man worked on the Letter A – this is the first time he has used a pencil and he did very good for a 1st timer 🙂
I printed out a letter A packet off nick Jr for him.
Little lady colored a letter A from PBS.org and we did a shape activity from nick Jr.
I also started their new wall of art. This is what it looks like so far. I did this with little man before and he loved looking at all his creations. I have decided to place it in an area where they spend a good majority of their time. I want them to look at what they have done and be proud.
I’m joining in on the fun here:
Happy Monday everyone
and if you are part of the nation that will be in the bad weather storm: be safe and stay warm.
