Mama Says #CelebrateMama

May 11, 2012 Leave a Comment

It’s been a great week here at GUB as we took the leap to do something different for Mother’s Day week. We’ve received lots of love from #CelebrateMama week.

I want to share that being a mom and blogger is really special but having the support from others is really important.

I feel extremely honored to be among some amazing mama bloggers That I can call my friends. I can say that their passion drives me to be a better mom and blogger.
I recently asked a couple of my Blog Amigas to share with me
what their favorite part of being a mother is.
I’ve met most of them personally and I am sure you will love them too. Here is what they had to say!

“There are so many wonderful things about being a mother. My absolute favorite is getting to relive my childhood with Norrin. I love sharing things with him that I loved growing up — like reading “Dr. Seuss” books or watching the “Charlie Brown Halloween Special”. I get to experience it from a completely different angle. And seeing his face light up with excitement – it’s the best feeling in the world.”
 -Lisa AutismWonderland

“My favorite part about being a Mami is the snuggling, messy kisses, making pancakes together and those proud moments when I see my beautiful babies turn into little men”
.-Divina DancingHotdogs & TrumpetingMedia

“It is difficult to choose what the best part of being a mom is . I could say that it is the first terrifying night alone at home, looking at his first smile, freaking out when he didn’t poop for a couple of days, watching him walk and trying to catch him as he ran faster than I could ever do, being frogs, singing together or reading a book. All that makes motherhood lovely, but the best part? Having a wonderful, funny, loving, hugable, delicious boy hug me and call out Moooom!”

 -Helena PINK Guayoyo

“My favorite part of being a Mother is spending quality time with my kids… I can honestly say I enjoy them and love seeing all the life lessons I’ve taught them being put to use, they have also taught me a lot about life, maybe more than they know. They are my life!”
-Xenia Raised by Culture

“My favorite part of being a mother is the ability to love in a way that I have never loved before. I had a painful childhood, the kind that leaves you needing years of therapy. Before having children, I vowed that my future children’s lives would be different. But actually seeing my daughter, right after her birth, gave me a sense of peace that I have never known. It allowed me to heal and turn the ugly into something beautiful. I learned to love in a way that only another mother can understand. A love that is healing and can conquer anything. This love, the ability to see the world in a different way, is what I love the most. It is a healing love, and a powerful source of goodness. It transcends all past pains and restored my faith in humanity. This love has motivated me to make the world a better place for all children.”
-Melissa Painting Mariposas in the Sky

“My favorite part of being a mother is to love and to be loved unconditionally and to be the most important person for someone forever.”
-Silke Mama Latina en Philly  & Growing Bilingual

“My favorite part about being a mom is the little things that we may take for granted; their kisses and hugs, the smile on their faces, the sound of their laughter, their hand in mine and the way they look as they are sleeping (I could go on and on). I love them unconditionally and I am thankful to be their mom.”
-Leanette Teachme2Save

“My favorite part of being a mom is the snuggles and giggles at all hours. There’s nothing like having my son jump on me either on the couch or in bed for a snuggle session. It never ceases to make me smile. ”
-Laura The 3 Ring Circus

“My favorite part of being a mom is sharing those moments of Wonderment, of Magic, and of creativity as we become lost in the adventure of just exploring our own little part of the world.”
-Jessie Tejana Made

“To me is the lesson of selflessness that motherhood gives you; before having kids it’s all about you and conditional love. Being a mom gave me the gift of loving unconditionally and the feeling of wholeness and content that comes with that kind of love.”
-MamiCool La Familia Cool

“Being a mom is one of the best things that ever happened to me.  I love watching my son develop and change as he grows. But my absolut favorite part about being a mom has got to be all the hugs, kisses and “I love you’s”
-Diane Philzendia

“The Best part of being a mom has been watching our son grow into an empathetic and loving young boy with a strong sense of right from wrong.”
-Ezzy EzzyLanguzzi

I never thought I would be a great mother I struggled with finding that balance and some days I still do but it’s because of little man and little lady that I have been able to follow my dreams.
If I didn’t know before I know now that they are my passion and my greatest accomplishment. The way they hug and kiss me for no reason is my favorite part of being their mother.

Big Thank you to all my Amigas that shared their pictures and quotes be sure to click on their links to read more about them and their awesome blogs!
