We love agua frescas and summer time really is the best time to have these fruit filled refreshers. Agua Frescas remind me of home and I’m so happy I can make them for the kiddos. Since our family has been going crazy for sweet watermelon adding it to our drinks is no exception. This is why Watermelon agua fresca has quickly become the go to when our family hangs outdoors for some much needed summer time relaxation!
Making your own agua fresca isn’t so complicated just blended fruits and juices and lots of ice!
To make our Watermelon Agua Fresca you will need 3 main ingredients that you probably already have at home.
How to make Watermelon Agua Fresca
The kids have been eating watermelon so much. I’m glad we shop often at Walmart. While this post isn’t sponsored by Walmart it’s safe to say I stay true to what I believe. I shop often at Walmart for affordability and guaranteed freshness in produce. We’ve been buying seedless watermelons at our local Walmart for under $5 latley and the best part is they come from local farmers. We also picked up small key limes because they have the most juice and are so easy to hand squeeze. You don’t want use pre-squeezed lime juice the fresh squeeze is a must for best taste!
- 8 cups of blended seedless watermelon
- 3/4 cups of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of lime juice
- 8 cups of water
- ice
- Blend half a watermelon to make about 8 cups of watermelon juice
- Add to a pitcher with lime juice and water
- Mix in sugar
- Refrigerate and mix before serving
- Serve over ice for best taste!
Blend about half a seedless watermelon. I cube mine after cutting it so it’s easy to just pop into a blender. You want to make about 8 cups of watermelon juice.
Once all your ingredients are added and stirred Serve over lots of ice for best taste.
And that’s it, simple ingredients to make agua fresca in a flash. I love making a big batch early in the morning for the family to enjoy throughout the day. Try making your own flavored agua fresca with your favorite blended fruits this summer!
