I’d like to share a little bit about Ronald McDonald House Charities and their Season of Giving Campaign.
For 37 years, RMHC has been deeply committed to children and their families. However, to provide hope, comfort, caring and unique programs to more children and families, RMHC relies on the generosity of its donors. Today, RMHC invites you to open your heart and bestow a financial gift to the RMHC on behalf of familiesaround the world
From not until December 31, 2011 RMHC hopes to raise $550,000.
Home is where your heart is – a sentiment that especially rings true for families facing the holidays apart because of a sick child. So during this Season of Giving, people can help RMHC keep families together by making a donation and sharing the joy of giving with a personalized RMHC Gingerbread House at www.rmhc.org.The more Gingerbread Houses built; the more RMHC can do to help families find a “home away from home” for the holidays as they deal with life’s most difficult challenges, especially the serious illness of their child.Donate at www.rmhc.org. Decorate a virtual RMHC Gingerbread House to honor a loved one or share with a friend. Lastly, help spread the word by sharing as many decorated houses as you want with family and friends through Facebook.
Though McDonald’s recently sponsored me, my thoughts and opinions on this charity don’t change. I share because as a mom I worry and fear anything that can potential hurt or take my kids away from me. It’s charities like RMHC that think of ways to make the transitions of what families go thru an easier one.
I believe in RMHC. I have had friends use their services and houses. This is the closes thing to home they felt while they aided and supported the kids back to health. I would only hope all families going thru something as difficult as having an ill child in the hospital could benefit from RMHC.
This holiday season, while you celebrate with your family, I hope you remember to give! Remember their is no better gift then the gift of giving!
