Bilingual Friday: Tengo Hambre | I’m Hungry

March 29, 2014 Leave a Comment

The kids have started using a few Spanish phrases including I am Hungry and Thirsty. Before, they only used them separately but just recently Little Lady has began to link them together. In efforts for her to pick up more Spanish I now reply back in Spanish. Our conversations seem to last us at least 2 sentence exchanges. Super good, if I do say so myself!

I should also share that this child of mine knows the way to my heart. My facial expressions are pretty apparent and whenever the kids speak spanish my heart melts. Little Lady must have picked up on that because now whenever she wants a snack she will say “Momma Tengo Hambre can I have a snack please!” and yes, She gets a snack every time!
