Coaching Little League

May 16, 2014 Leave a Comment

Being a positive role model for my kids and for other youths is something I was try to do. From being very active in my children’s lives to always trying to be helpful when I notice someone in need of help.
So it was no surprise that when we signed up little man for baseball I wanted to help out.

As a kid I didn’t get to play sports though I was very interested. I want little man to be outgoing and I want him to try things he wants to. He’s shown an interest for baseball so we finally signed him up.

I didn’t know I wanted to be an assistant coach until I really started getting out there to help. I signed up to be an assistant coach after just a few practices. One Sunday before the season started, when the T-ball lead coach came up to me and told me that they were looking for one more coach. I happily told him I would take the position. I was happy to be able to be put in a position where I could help more children do something fun and positive in their life.

Sadly the season will be ending soon but I know I have positively influenced my team and the other children I have helped out this season. I had great assistant coaches and I was happy to have a team with parents that were just as involved as I was. Little Man can’t wait for next season I hope many of our players get to be on my team again!
