I’ve shared about my struggle with mornings and also my smoothie making journey to help with my anemia. The truth is Smoothies are an easy breakfast alternative and can be very healthy! Making a fruit smoothie doesn’t take too much time and the combinations are endless! And if i’m honest, I gotta get back on my smoothie game! My body craves the energy boost I get in the morning from a cold glass of fruit smoothie.

Our favorite smoothies have berries, a green, a banana for sweetness. I usually use spinach but this year I wanted to venture into the Kale world!  I recently tried one from Walmart’s Weekly Ad– Kale Fruit Smoothie. The kids and I both loved it. It was our first time trying soy milk in a smoothie too!

NOTE: Your smoothie color may vary But the deliciousness won’t be compromised!

Let’s Make an Easy Kale Fruit Smoothie

kale fruit smoothie-ingredients

I picked up all my ingredients at my local Walmart. I love picking up their Great Value frozen packages of strawberries and blue berries because they’re affordable, keep longer than fresh berries, and add a great thickness to my smoothie! For this recipe you will need soymilk, a banana and apple, some kale, blueberry yogurt, vanilla extract, and strawberries and blueberries.

Add all the ingredients into a blender.

Optional- I keep the peel on my apple but you could peel it if you want.

Give it a good blend.

Adding the frozen fruit gives a thickness and helps the smoothie stay cold.

And serve. This smoothie recipe makes 32oz perfect for my little mason jar’s that are 16oz each. I usually split on for the kids and still have enough for a whole one for myself.

It’s a great breakfast alternative and the best part is the kids can help grab all the ingredients and even make the smoothie! It’s that easy!

Walmart has great selection of smoothies online at Walmart.com/cook be sure to check them out and try a few!
