Party like a Mario Star!

March 12, 2012 Leave a Comment

We recently received an advance copy of Mario Party 9 and let me tell you we partied like we were Mario Stars. As I’ve mentioned before the hubs and his bro are huge gamers.

Since the Brother-in-law and family are back in town we decided to make a fun day of gaming and Mario Party was perfect for keeping us all involved and active, including 4 kids under 6!

Mario Party 9 takes you on an adventure through different stages and mini games with you’re favorite Super Mario Characters.

The game now features a way  for each players to travel across each stage together  in a little car along the game board so no one is ever left behind. Perfect for families like ours with little ones who still want to join in the fun This also makes it easy for all players to join forces in battles against the enemies.
Throughout the stages you gain mini-stars this allows you to unlock additional extras including a Donkey-Kong themed stage!!!

Our favorite as a family is definitely the new mini-game modes. It let us each compete against each other in short periods of time. We even had the option of free play mode (my favorite) where we could practice before we really competed!!!

Check out this video with the kids playing with a little of our help We are playing a few of the mini-games

We are totally love Mario Party 9 for family game time!
