Wind Dancers: DIY Recycled Hand Kites

April 23, 2013 Leave a Comment

WIND DANCERS DIY

Before leaving on GUBcation we were able to take advantage of the windy climate in New Jersey. We went out and made some wind dancers out of recycled brown paper bags.

To create one of your own here is what you need:

wind dancers supplies

  • Recycled Brown paper bag
  • string
  • chalk or crayons
  • scissors

Let’s get started!
WIND DANCERS

Cut your paper bag into various shapes we used squares to later cut into diamonds.
Have the kids decorate with their colors. We used chalk to get a more earthy look

DIY WIND DANCERS
Cut into desired shapes triangles and diamonds work best. Use at least 3 different cut outs
Puncture holes on top and bottom of cut outs and
Lace string thru tie to secure and repeat until desired hand dancer is complete.
