Since living in New Jersey and experience actual seasons, I’ve learned what things were a must during the seasons. This winter I prepared and stocked up on a few of the things I felt were winter must haves for the family.
1-As I shared before the kids have mild case of eczema and during the winter is when it flares up and causes discomfort. Using Aveeno Eczema Therapy is a life saver. We use to only use the baby lotion of Aveeno but after trying their eczema formula the kids flares were minimal. This year we tried the new Aveeno soothing bath treatment and that too has been added to our list of must items.
2-The whole family uses Neutrogena Naturals lip balm. We all seem to get crazy chapped lips and it’s important to keep them moisturized. The kids know that the minute they feel like dried gummy bears its time to apply lip balm!
3-Another product we love is Lubriderm Advance Therapy Lotion. The hubs and I love using this the most. It instantly hydrates our dry skin and keeps us moisturized throughout the day. A quick tip I learned from a dermatologist that we practice is to apply moisturizer as soon as we get out the shower or bath. This has helped with everyones dry skin and we noticed how much softer are skin feels hours after.
4-I have the worst combination skin during the winter I refuse to wear makeup so one of my musts are tinted lip balms and color sticks. Neutrogena has two of my faves that are a must in my purse- Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Sticks and Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm.
5-The hubs and I also share the combination skin oil free moisturizer by Neutrogena. We like this moisturizer because it takes care of all the added rough skin and oil spots without leaving us greasy or tacky. The hubs rubs it into his beard and it doesn’t leave any residue on his beard which he loves.
If you didn’t catch our pattern our skin gives us the most issues during the winter. Even though we aren’t typically outdoors much, our skin suffers with change. These are just a few of winter must haves.
