Nick Jr.

March 17, 2010 By Ruby Leave a Comment

We love Nick Jr BKA Noggin (still sad they changed the name but then again it was first Nick jr.. does any one remember Face? ok lol nevermind being random now)

Anyways Both Little Man and Little Lady enjoy watching their programs. Some of our favorites are Yo gabba gabba, Team Umi Zumi, and wonder pets. I hope Dora, Diego and Little Bill become favorites too! Right now they haven’t caught their attention.

My favorites though, have to be Moose A. Moose and Zee they always have the cutest intermissions between programs they really have taught Little man things like patty cake. I know he gets it because he does it soon he will be shouting right back at them when they ask for the missing words.

This month has been all about Let’s take a trip. Of course this caught my attention because we will be taking a cross country trip so it’s perfect to prepare and hopefully he remembers some of the things we talk about. Lately though, I have stop paying attention because after the first couple clips they start repeating themselves however I couldn’t help but listen when they said “visit us online to see more of DORA’S SAY IT TWO WAYS. ”

If you’ve been reading my blog you know this is music to my ears. I’m still struggling to teach and speak spanish to the kids. (while my aunt was here i did catch my self speaking it for a while and little man understood some of the stuff she would ask him for it was cool)

Right away I went online and checked out what kind of stuff they had. Somehow Dora has come to my rescue. She’s taught me to carry around a catchy song for two weeks straight but the important part was that the song was about spanish and english and my kids benifited from it. I couldnt find the actual clip of the song @nick jr but here is a Youtube one with a cute little girl singing.

Ya bet it got you singing too lol. Now Dora has a great cards that are more like coloring sheets with english / spanish wording.

This months batch of cards are about Vehicles. Perfect to go with a great activity I’ve been wanting to try. The card is one of 6. I didn’t want to overwhelm little man so we only did the Car. You can download them here

On with the activity

Jennwa at Ramblings of a Crazy Woman has some cute crafts but one catched my attention since it went hand in hand with March Nick jr theme. A toilet paper roll CAR Little man in action! This is the print out I was talking about.

This is little mans car.

This is what he did with it. lol

As many of you may be noticing your comments don’t post right away. I changed this because I now have very close friends and family that read the blog and some are even Commenting which is great but like me we kinda forget that the bloggy world can be a scary one which is why I chose to protect My husband and Childrens name along with our last name. So with the being said all comments will be approved before posting. and for the record I am not upset I’m just being a mom and I’m protecting my babies!

Also, I now have 97 followers I’m excited to hit the big 100!!! I think I should do a giveway or something to celebrate once it happens of course only open to my followers. What you guys think??? Well I’ll let you know once it happens. Hopefully sooner than later.

BTW its St. Patrick’s day. I normally don’t celebrate although I feel I should since Catholicism plays a part but I never grew up celebrating big like most people do. you know going to parades and dressing in full green. Matter fact I always forget to wear green. I did however grow up believing and praying to saints so …. ya Happy St. Patrick’s day!
