DIY-GOLD-DOT-STORAGE-BIN

I finally have a space of my own! I’ve been busy organizing my office space and like most things I had to add a little DIY style of my own. I made my very own matching DIY gold dot storage bins because i’m obsessed with all things gold dots! Adding a little style to my refreshed and organized space wasn’t hard and actually super affordable!

I picked up all my supplies at Walmart and was inspired by these cute storage bins fabric cubes. I loved the aqua minty color but nothing had gold dots! With a little fabric paint I was able to create my own look!

Here is what you need to make your own DIY Gold Dot Storage Bins!

getting organized

Like I said I shopped at Walmart for all my supplies. I had picked up some cube storage for my office from the BHG collection. I also picked up storage bins but even tho they were colored I needed more style to add to my whole office look. With a little Fabric Paint I was able to accomplish the look I was going for.

I purchased Tulips Metallic Gold Fabric Paint, Storage Bins, and small deco baskets to fit into my bins to really organize all my crafts.

The Storage Bins ($4.43) come in various colors but I really loved this aqua color. The Deco Baskets are a 2pk deal ($4.88)I loved that they were a matching color as well! The Tulip paint was by far my fave buy. It’s hard to find good gold fabric paint but this one was perfect!

The Tulip paint has an easy tip for precise designing and it made making my gold dots so easy. I let them dry for 2hrs and they were ready to go. Note: Make dots with a thin coat for best results and fast drying!

Once the storage bins were dry I was able to fill them and pop them into my cube shelving.

matching storage baskets

I loved how great the baskets fit into my storage bins making it easy to remove the whole basket whenever I work with my glitters or other crafts. I’m still filling them and organizing.

I loved how this DIY turned out. I’m loving my gold dots and having custom storage for my office space.

How are you making your organized space refreshed?
