The husband has officially been teaching/using/speaking more spanish than I have.
He has been trying to teach the kids and point out things to me when he knows them. I’m very proud of him. It actually makes him a little hotter but don’t tell him I said that.
Recently I caught him using a not so nice word and I immediately went to correct him. For this i feel bad but i didn’t want the kids to start picking it up or think it’s an ok word to say.
The word was Callate which means shut up. Not so nice right?
So i went searching for another word to use and i thought and thought and finally had to get online. There really isn’t a word or words to translate “be quiet” however the alternative would be silence which is silencio. (feel free to use this as the spanish word of the week) 🙂
Today is also the beginning of OPOL I wrote about the pros and cons awhile back. I came to the conclusion that i’m running out of time and i dont have a good enough reason not to do this.
It’s been a challenge and I’ve explained to my husband that many tears will be she’d because
this isn’t going to be easy but i’m up for the challenge nothing but greatness can come from this.
I’m excited and in search of spanish speaking playgroups, support groups anything that will encourage and keep me motivated to do this.
This is very important for my family and I’m excited to start this new chapter with them.
