Movie and a Snack: Frankenweenie

We recently received a 4 Disc Copy of Tim Burton’s FRANKENWEENIE and we were so excited to see what this little dogs story was all about!

I was a bit worried the kids would keep their focus on the film since it was only in black and white. Surprisingly after getting cozy and comfy in our living room our whole family was watching the story of little sparky.

While we don’t have a real pup the kids understood the love Victor had for Sparky!

I wanted our memory of the film to be special so I went on a pinterest hunt for some inspiration. Luckily a green cake caught our eye and we decided to make Frankenweenie Green Cupcakes with Sparky Toppers!

We had some left over Christmas Funfetti cake mix that made for great cupcakes!

I had little lady mixing hard I added a few drops of green food coloring and then some yellow to get this bright green batter! In they went to bake and ready for decorating

We used some blue, green and red food coloring to make our white frosting a little gray just like Sparky!
We topped our beautiful cupcakes with a sparky topper using a printed circle image, tape and a toothpick! The image above of Sparky is the actual image we used feel free to save and print in your desired size for your own cupcakes.

The kids asked to watch Frankenweenie again as we ate our cupcakes so there was no doubt this was a new favorite for our kiddos.
