I’m all about making my kids their own special Easter Baskets. Some years we go all out other years we make a budget. This year the kids are getting something pretty special so I decided to make them simple baskets with some of their favorite and popular characters! I headed to Walmart to pick up everything I needed to make easy DIY kids Easter Baskets under $25 each including the basket and paper grass!

I purchased quite a few goodies for the kids Easter baskets including super affordable and reusable baskets.Since baskets are super important i’m glad Walmart is on-trend with their selection of baskets! From willow, bamboo and wood-chip baskets they have a great selection in types and sizes and even colors starting at $7.98

Licensed Characters at Walmart

I loved seeing the selection of licensed character toys and activities. From Spiderman to Minions to Sponge Bob to Avengers and Hello Kitty to Disney Princesses to Doc McStuffins and Sofia- the selection was pretty awesome. Everything from shaped easter eggs and bubbles and yo-yos and even activity books perfect for on the go!

Build-A-Basket

But my favorite area to fill my baskets was the Fill your basket area where small toys were available for under $20. So you can fill your basket with as big of toys to the smallest and still very popular among the kiddos.

Picking out several different items for the kids easter baskets made it easy to stay on budget because of the selection of items and price range.

Don’t forget the candy

mystery peeps pops

If you’re kids are into candy Walmart carries a pretty awesome selection of Easter Candy all our faves including Peeps for only $1!!!

I made Peep Pops for the kiddos with a fun straw stick since they aren’t too crazy for candy! One special sweet treat usually does it for them!

They totally loved the mystery peeps though so I had to add a few more to their baskets. Check out other fun ways to share Mystery Peeps with your kids with our Easter Snack
