With Dia de los Muertos just around the corner we had the chance to play with one of our favorite storybooks! We first found out about Rosita y Conchita last year and have loved them since.
Rosita y Conchita is a rhyming storybook known for it’s English and Spanish tale of 2 sisters and their day of the dead story. The book has now been transformed into an amazing 3D interactive app with more than just the story.
The app has different story modes where children can choose to be read to or they can read the story themselves.
There also is special Content like learning to draw Rosita and learning to make sugar skulls!
Our favorite feature is definitely the 3D. You tilt your device and the 3D effect is instant!
There is also interactive items in the app that play music or make sounds. It’s also fun to find Rosita y Conchita’s rose & shell pins throughout the story.
As a parent I want an app that will allow Little Man and Little Lady to play alone when I can’t play with them. I love that the app has easy to navigate buttons to Hide text or change the text from English to Spanish!
I also love that the narration lets you follow along by highlighting the words. This helps kids with identifying words and pronouncing them.
The artwork is amazing just like the book. I am so happy the book has been transformed to an app.
If you are looking for a modern way to celebrate Dia De Los Muertos you definitely want to download this app.
