We’re gearing up for BTS and as a mama of a soon to be 3rd-grader and 2nd-grader, I’ve learned a few things about school lunch! Y’all seen use make space-themed lunches and waffle sandwiches. I’ve even shared about my favorite Lunch Box containers! So here is what I’ve learned about my kiddos when it comes to school lunches that make my life and theirs easier! Consider these my Lunchbox Tips!
Breakfast for lunch
My kiddos are breakfast kids. They can seriously have breakfast for lunch and dinner if I’d let them. Here is the deal Find the foods that your kids enjoy and double it up for lunch boxes.
Just recently we went shopping at Walmart for all their favorites. We got: Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked sausages (because their easy and fast to heat), pancakes(these taste just like their favorite fast food ones but helps me when I don’t have time to make them fresh), eggs, fruit (it’s a toss up between

-fruit (it’s a toss up between mandarin oranges and apple dippers Skip the caramel and pack up the apple slices alone save the caramel for an afterschool snack) sometimes hash browns like these easy Hungry Jack just add water and cook ones, and of course an orange juice! There are just a few of their favorite things. I make sure to keep them on hand for breakfast and lunches now!

Containers for consistency
I know exactly how much to cook, what to pack, and how to pack it in their lunch bags because I use the same containers every time. I’ve raved about these Rubbermaid LunchBox kits before. They really are a life saver. It saves me time from thinking how I’ll store it all and how much to really be packing. We can over think lunches sometimes!
Make it fun
Try themed lunches and make it easy. My lunchboxes contain 3 containers, a drink, and the best part a note from me with a little doodle. My kids love them! It makes it fun. But hey, don’t feel you need to pack lunch all the time either. Give in a little. My kids ask me to buy school lunch occasionally. I have no problem with that and it gives us a break!
Don’t forget the lunchbox note
A simple heart signed by mom and a doodle makes my lunchboxes complete. My kiddos are happy and so am I.
